My Top 5 EGF Serums Analyzed for 2021

So, you have heard about EGF Serums and maybe even have heard some incredible success stories of wiping away wrinkles or erasing scars.   Unfortunately, not ALL of those stories are true. Yes, a serum with EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) can work, but it has to have the right characteristics. Sadly, in today's day and age, there are many serums on the market that Claim to be a big cure for wrinkles, but they fall woefully short. They may contain too little of the Expensive peptide called EGF, or maybe even none. They probably also overlook the Synergies that EGF has with another key ingredient. Studies show that EGF actually works BETTER on wrinkles when combined with another peptide. This other ingredient drives costs way up, and most manufacturers skip it as a result.

Below, you will find my Top 5 EGF Serums which are the ones that I believe to be the very best.  I have hand selected them after actually TRYING them and discovering that their results are better than the rest.    I then placed them into a simple "Top 5" ranking system so that you can easily see which might be best for you.

The TRUE Serums® EGF Serum is my Top Choice

When we consider the very best of the best in an EGF Serum, we try to envision how Happy it will make a Customer.  The important things in an EGF Serum, for our purposes, are:

-How Well it Heals Wrinkles.
-Does it Have the Right Ingredients.
-Quality of Ingredients.
-Value / Bang for your Buck.

The TRUE Serums® EGF Serum dominated in  ALL 4 aspects. Yes, it contains the EGF ingredient (rh-Oligopeptide-1), but it also contains a very special peptide called Collaxyl (hexapeptide-9), which adds a 3x Synergy factor to how well the EGF can work.  Additionally, this EGF Serum contains Organic ingredients that calm, soothe, and nourish the skin.  Things like Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Juice, Chamomile and Green Tea ensure that while you are aggressively treating your wrinkles with the EGF Serum, you are also giving your skin really healthy does of nutrients and moisture.   I have seen NO OTHER competitor with a quality and combination of ingredients on par with this one.  Full Review

#2 (second place) EGF BioSkin

This is a very interesting EGF Serum.   It contains the correct percent concentration of EGF ingredient, and is well made.   It does not contain any other ingredients for healing the skin or boosting skin cell regeneration.

This serums is basically the "Bare bones" EGF serum, as that's all it contains, besides emulsifiers and stabilizers.   It is organic, so that's a plus.

If you are on a budget, this could be a good option for you.  It's $74.99 a bottle, and each bottle should last you about a month.

I have seen only positive reviews for this product online, although there were not many to comb through.

I feel it's a solid EGF Serum that you could look into if you didn't want my Top choice for some reason.   The only negative I have to offer is that it lacks some of the key ingredients I really like to see in an EGF product.

It has no Collastin, and it could really benefit from some of the easy-to-use ingredients like Aloe, or Chamomile.  These ingredients often round out a product nicely, and keep the skin moist and comfortable during the treatment.

#3 (third place) BioGenics EGF Serum

Biogenics is a pretty well known brand in high-end skin treatment.  Their foray into the EGF marketplace has been fairly successful.

They include in their formula the correct percentage concentration of EGF, according to what studies claim are most effective.  While having the EGF in the right concentration is a key factor, it's not the only thing that's important.

Namely, if you are looking for repairing some scarring or damage to the skin besides a wrinkle, you will not find much to help in this product.   It lacks any calming or soothing ingredients, and lacks any other peptides which create a synergistic effect with the EGF.

Price-wise, the Biogenics formula is fair.   It's $98 for the bottle, but it's only 15ml.   When compared to our top choice, for example, it's half the size.   So, slightly more expensive for half the amount.   This is not necessarily to speak badly of the Biogenics formula, but rather, to compliment the extreme value of the TRUE Serums formula.

You can only buy the Biogenics formula online, so you won't find it in stores.   This is fairly common though, as many of the top products are shipped direct to customers from the manufacturer.

Overall, I like the Biogenics formula and it may be worth a second look for you.

#4 (fourth place) Collastin® with EGF

Collastin is a wonderful product for immediately hiding wrinkles and lines, especially crows feet.  It contains a fermented hyaluronic acid that draws moisture DEEP into the skin, and binds the moisture molecules to the skin.   This causes a plumping effect, much like an injection would cause... but of course, without the injection.

However, this cream does not have the combination of the EGF ingredient and the Collaxyl.   It takes an "older" approach to healing and treating wrinkles.  It may very well be a fantastic product.   However, this article is discussing the best EGF Serum, and Collastin is not it.

This is a solid product, and the price is actually pretty affordable at $78 per bottle.    However, if you are looking for an EGF Serum that's the industry leader, you should look to another one.

#5 (fifth place) Phenomenon® Dermal Filler

Phenomenon cream contains some of the ingredients that are often in EGF based products.  It's quality is truly FANTASTIC.  That's why it made our list of the top 5 EGF Serums.   The issue is that it stimulates growth in the skin cells without the primary ingredient that our EGF category relies upon.

Now, why would this product be on the list at all?   That's because there are SO FEW actual EGF serums on the market worth discussing.  This is a great product for removing wrinkles, and if you really don't care about EGF as an ingredient, you could find some great success with this product.

When it comes to price, you can get two of them for just $134 so you may find this a good value.   Each one lasts for 6 weeks, so you're talking about a 90 day supply at that price.

If you have tried many products to help your wrinkles, and are still looking for something else, you might want to give Phenomenon a try.

What Ingredients MUST a Good EGF Serum Contain?

  1. EGF (rh-Oligopeptide-1)

This molecule is a blessing for skin that has suffered from wrinkle damage or even scarring. The rh-Oligopeptide-1 molecule is known as a "signal molecule". That means that it sends a signal to the skin's cells, stimulating them to jump start cellular growth, healing and cell proliferation. This factor is the absolute KEY to a successful EGF Serum.

  2. Collastin (hexapeptide-9)

A Match made in Heaven to combine with EGF is Collaxyl.   This ingredient boosts skin regeneration and Collagen production. It has been touted as a great "healing" ingredient because it actually stimulated a torn piece of skin to heal itself in a study. The fact that it boosts Collagen is additionally great for wrinkles since Collagen is what keeps our skin elastic and supple. The combination of Collaxyl and EGF is a powerful synergy and should be demanded by anyone looking for an EGF Serum.

The "Added Bonus" Ingredients

  1. Shea Butter

A well known ingredient for softening, moisturizing, and plumping the skin, Shea Butter is a great addition to an EGF Serum.   While not one of the "vital", must have ingredients, it makes a perfect inclusion for those who seek to get rid of wrinkles and give their skin some general nutrition too.

  2. Aloe Vera Juice

You have already heard of the healing benefits of Aloe.  Since a wrinkle is nothing more than an "injury" Aloe is another great addition to an EGF Serum.   An ingredient like Aloe rounds out a serum, and is very nice for those who have sensitive skin, but need the wrinkle power of an EGF.

  3. Various Herbals or Botanicals

A good EGF Serum could also contain some of the well known ingredients that tend to calm and soothe skin, which are often found in skin care products.  Things like Olive extract, Chamomile, Green Tea, Lavender, Honey, Avocado extract and more.   These ingredients are NOT going to make your wrinkles or scarring go away, but they are perfect for rounding out the powerful "Must have" ingredients we listed previously, and a good EGF Serum should have some of them.
